WWE saw the return of Candice LeRae after Triple H took control of the company’s creative direction, but her return saw a brief hiatus directly afterward. It turns out that there was a very good reason for her disappearance, and it was considered a “freak accident.”

Candice LeRae teamed with Bianca Belair to take on Damage CTRL during the October 17th edition of WWE Raw. Then she was off television for so long that she missed Survivor Series, and you know thte Poison Pixie would have excelled in a WarGames match.

While speaking to The Sam Laprade Show, Candice LeRae was asked about injuries in pro wrestling, and she revealed that she was recently injured in a “freak accident.”

“I just had a freak accident happen not that long ago. We’re always taking a risk when we step into the ring, no matter what we do. It is very taxing on our bodies. I’m a bit more…having a son now, it’s a bit more scary for me because when I do get hurt, it affects him now.”

“Before, I was like, ‘I don’t care, it’s myself. If it happens, it happens, that’s the risk we’re taking. Now, it does affect him. It’s a very real thing, but WWE takes such phenomenal care of us. The medical staff that we have, they do so much for us, and we do everything we can to prevent everything. Of course, in the back of my head, I’m thinking, ‘I don’t want to get hurt because I want to be a present mother.’ I do feel, not as worried as you’d probably think I would be. I feel people have my back, and I’ve been training for this for 20 years.”

Only time will tell what Triple H does with Candice LeRae on the WWE main roster, he has pretty much reunited The Way on RAW, and all they’re missing is Indi Hartwell and a babyface turn for Austin Theory to complete the former NXT faction.

Thankfully, Candice LeRae is back on WWE television and there doesn’t seem to be another break in sight for her. With WrestleMania coming up, she certainly wants to be ready for anything, because Triple H might just have a spot at the show of shows for her.
