Dominik Mysterio was tired of living under Rey Mysterio’s shadow and eventually tuned on him at Clash at the Castle in September 2022. The young wrestler found a new family in The Judgment Day. Dom’s relationship with Rhea Ripley became the focus of the storyline as well.
Dominik, Damian Priest and Finn Balor confronted The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) and Rey Mysterio on NASCAR racing track this past Thursday. A car race soon ensued between Rey and Dom, with the father eventually beating his son on the track.
A mini-brawl broke out immediately after an irate Dominik threw a helmet at Rey Mysterio. The New Day got involved and security personnel intervened to restore peace. Sean Sapp talked about behind the scenes atmosphere during the filming of the segment from behind Fightful’s paywall.
We’re told the talent and crew really enjoyed participating in the NASCAR integration of WWE.
Dominik and Rey are expected to settle their differences at the upcoming WrestleMania 39 premium live event. It remains to be seen where ex-con Dom will show up next to test his father’s patience. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more from the world of pro wrestling.
