WWE has inducted plenty of legends into their Hall of Fame that fans question. A few of them didn’t spend a ton of time in Vince McMahon’s company at all. Hornswoggle was in WWE for a few days under a decade, and he would consider it a huge surprise if he got the call for a Hall of Fame induction.
Some fans questioned why Hornswoggle wasn’t a part of DX’s WWE Hall of Fame induction. After all, he was a part of the faction long enough to get a special edition action figure out of the deal. Still, his name was left out of that big night.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Hornswoggle admitted that he gets why the WWE Hall of Fame is so special, and why he wasn’t a part of DX’s induction. He’s not hoping for a future induction for himself. If anything, if WWE ever gives him the nod, he will consider it a huge surprise.
“I get it. I do. I was the mascot [for DX]. I was always known as the mascot. People didn’t view me as such, but I knew it, and it’s fine. I never like to think about that. Because if it never were to happen, I can only be let down. Rather than, if for a crazy reason, it does happen, it’s the coolest surprise ever.”
In the end, Hornswoggle said that, “I want to do fun things that I can bring him along to as well. That’s all I care about nowadays.”
Triple H will theoretically get to pick his first WWE Hall of Fame induction class this year. It will be interesting to see who gets the call. With Swoggle’s DX connection, it might be a very nice gesture for Hornswoggle to see his time in the spotlight. If anything, there will hopefully be other opportunities at future ceremonies down the road.
