Dakota Kai gained recognition for her work in Triple H’s version of NXT, where she won the women’s tag team titles on multiple occasions. She was released from her contract on April 29, 2022. Triple H took over WWE’s creative and brought back Dakota Kai and the 2022 SummerSlam premium live event.

As previously reported, Dakota Kai suffered an injury during the Women’s Royal Rumble match this past Saturday. WWE didn’t provide details on the injury during their live broadcast of RAW this past Monday. That said, we now have another update on her undisclosed injury.

According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer and Figure Four Weekly, Dakota Kai’s injury is believed to be minor. Dakota Kai entered the rumble match as the ninth entrant. She racked five eliminations and stayed in the rumble for 22 minutes 20 seconds. She was eventually eliminated by Bayley, who was eliminated by archrival Bayley.

The one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions was involved in an angle with Becky Lynch last night on RAW. The Man used Dakota Kai to convince Bayley to give her a steel cage match next Monday. You can check out the line-up for RAW by clicking here.
