Jay Briscoe lost his life at 38-years-old after terrible car wreck. Briscoe, and the woman who hit his vehicle head-on, both died at the scene. Thankfully, Briscoes’ daughters are recovering, but there is a huge hole in the pro wrestling business after Briscoe’s passing. He and his brother Mark Briscoe were signed to ROH through Tony Khan, and although they were not on the AEW roster, TK plans to do right by Jay Briscoe.

Jay Briscoe’s name was banned from WarnerMedia in big way. Tony Khan did everything he could to pay tribute to him, but an additional memorial show had to be filmed for ROH Honor Club instead. Those old tweets from Jay Briscoe, ones he apologized for and worked to recover from, still haunted him in WarnerMedia’s eyes.

While speaking on What Happened When, Conrad Thompson opened up a bit about this situation. He did not reveal any dollar amount, but he was assured that Tony Khan will take care of Jay Briscoe’s family.

“I don’t mean to betray any confidences, but let me say this. There is lots of rumors and innuendo from really good sources that Tony Khan is who we thought he was, and he’s going to do the right thing by that family as well. I don’t think he would necessarily want anybody to know that information, and I know it’s not your [Tony Schiavone] place to talk about it, but I will say that for all the criticism that gets thrown around ‘Tony this, Tony that.’ When the chips are down, he’s a dude.”

Jay Briscoe’s fundraiser smashed two goals and landed at over $250k. There were some impressive contributions like Kevin Owens giving $10k, Chris Jericho donating $15k, and the Young Bucks also kicked in $10k each.

The pro wrestling world is still in mourning after Jay Briscoe’s passing. Only time will tell what is next for everyone involved, but Tony Khan is going to make sure that Jay Briscoe’s family is taken care of.

We are still sending our thoughts out to Jay Briscoe and everyone involved in this tragic situation, right here at Ringside News.
