Veer Mahaan made his debut on Monday Night RAW last year, as he largely pulverized Rey and Dominik Mysterio. After Triple H took over WWE, he was taken off WWE television for a while and eventually made his way back to NXT. He was also absent from NXT this week, and it seems there was a good reason for that.

Veer Mahan came back to NXT as part of Indus Sher and was successful in his endeavor, and a match against the Creed Brothers was hyped heavily. Then NXT New Year’s Evil took place earlier this week, but Veer Mahan was nowhere to be seen.

Now the reason for his absence has been revealed, as Veer Mahan recently took to Instagram and wrote a lengthy post, where he revealed to the world that his father had passed away recently.

Dear Father…..

My soul shook with great pain when I heard the news of your passing. Every moment with you filled me with happiness and attachment. No matter where I will find myself in the world your presence, gives me courage and enthusiasm.

Cherished Babu ji, whatever I am today, I am because of your and Mother’s teachings, along with watching you both overcome great adversity. If I can ask one thing as I’ve always have is your blessing and strength, with the memory of You and Mother, I will try to follow your footsteps till the last breath. My respect and honor to You and Mother 🙇🏻‍♂️
Lots of love Babu ji 🙏🏾

This is certainly very sad news to hear. We here at Ringside News offer our deepest condolences to Veer Mahan and his family during this sad time. It is likely Mahan will take more time off before he can return to WWE television.
