John Cena arguably is one of the biggest WWE superstars of all time. The Cenation Leader is said to portray his ‘Super-Cena goodie hero’ to millions across the world, preaching the mantra of “Hustle Loyalty and Respect.” However, Cena failed to maintain character in his recent appearance on SmackDown backstage.

The Face that Runs the Place had not wrestled a single match in 2022 and his streak of wrestling once every year for the last 20 years was in deep jeopardy. However, John Cena returned to in-ring action on the last SmackDown of 2022. He teamed up with Kevin Owens to battle Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.

Despite his on-screen rivalry that night with two members of The Bloodline, John Cena didn’t keep that on-screen animosity going behind the scenes. The 16-time World champion posted a video on TikTok where he can be seen hanging out with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, and then the Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso appears. Cena is seen greeting and mingling with Jimmy Uso in a friendly manner, breaking his on-screen character.

John Cena and Kevin Owens managed to pick up the win over Roman Reigns in the main event of the December 26th edition of SmackDown. We’ll have to see how long it takes for John Cena to make his way back to WWE.
