Released WWE Superstar Drops Clear Royal Rumble Tease

WWE has a lot of former Superstars on the indie scene, and it seems that one of them is game to make a return. This should come as no real surprise, because Matt Cardona is certainly on WWE’s radar.

Matt Cardona jumped on Twitter, and he sent out a very clear tease that the Royal Rumble on January 28th might be a very big night for the former Broski.

“2022…without a doubt…my favorite year of my career. This run was never about proving anybody wrong…it was about proving myself and my supporters right. Now what am I gonna do in 2023 to top 2022?! Leave your comments in 10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1……”

Matthew Cardona, better known by his ring name Zack Ryder, is best known for his career with WWE. Cardona made his WWE debut in 2007 as a member of the ECW brand, where he quickly gained popularity with his YouTube show “Z! True Long Island Story,” which helped him to establish a strong connection with the WWE Universe. In 2011, he won the United States Championship and had several high-profile matches against wrestlers such as Dolph Ziggler and John Cena.

Throughout his career with WWE, Cardona has been a member of several stables, including The Miztourage and The Hype Bros, and has won the Intercontinental Championship and the Raw Tag Team Championship. He was a fan favorite for his energetic and entertaining in-ring style and his entertaining promos.

Despite not being at the top of the card for much of his WWE career, Cardona has remained a popular and beloved figure among the WWE Universe. He proved himself as a versatile performer, able to excel in a variety of roles and storylines. Cardona’s tenacity and resilience have earned him a reputation as a true workhorse in the industry, and his contributions to WWE will not soon be forgotten.

We’ll have to see if Matt Cardona makes a return to WWE. In the meantime, we will wait for both him, and his wife Chelsea Green, to make their comeback with Triple H in control of WWE’s creative direction this time.
