Tonight’s taped AEW Rampage New Year’s Smash edition will have the broadcast team of Paul Wight, Tony Schiavone, and Excalibur. However, according to recent reports, AEW has faced travel issues this week.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that travel-related concerns prevented Britt Baker, Saraya, and Eddie Kingston from attending this week’s New Year’s Smash Dynamite in Broomfield. A few of the Dynamite and Rampage segments had to be adjusted because other people were unable for the tapings.

On a related note, Wight will join the Rampage commentary crew going forward, according to AEW President Tony Khan, who made the announcement prior to Wednesday’s Rampage tapings in Broomfield, Colorado.

As we previously reported, Jim Ross missed the AEW TV tapings because Khan offered him the week off, so he could see the Oklahoma-Florida State Cheez-It Bowl on Thursday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. Ross will return to work for the January 6th Rampage and Battle of the Belts V tapings from Portland. Keep an eye on Ringside News to get more updates.
