Impact Wrestling has a full roster loaded with talent, all looking to make a bigger impression on the pro wrestling world. It seems that one former champion might be leaving the company soon.

According to a report behind Fightful’s paywall, Sami Callihan’s Impact Wrestling contract could be up very soon. At one point, it was reported that his deal only had a couple of months left. It is unclear whether he has re-signed with the former TNA.

Former IMPACT World Champion Sami Callihan at least at one point had an expiring IMPACT Wrestling contract over the next few months. Callihan was also set to become a free agent at the start of 2021, but signed a two-year contract extension that kept him with IMPACT through 2022. We’ve followed up with IMPACT sources and Callihan himself but haven’t been given any clarity about his status.

It was also reported that, “Callihan’s contract situation has caught the interest of outside promoters. Callihan is a successful promoter himself, making Pro Wrestling REVOLVER one of the top independent companies on the planet.” We will have to see what is next for Sami Callihan.

The former Impact Wrestling Champion had a stint in WWE’s NXT brand from 2012 to 2015 as Solomon Crowe, but he was released from his deal. It seems that Callihan is much happier with Impact Wrestling. We will have to see if he stays there.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
