Lio Rush achieved lot over his years in WWE as he had a decent fanbase in the company. Rush was largely seen as Bobby Lashley’s spokesperson during 2018 and 2019 and then eventually won the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. He was also pranked into sitting in Vince McMahon’s chair.

Lio Rush had a solid time working in WWE and had a great relationship with Vince McMahon. Despite his on-screen character, Lio Rush is also known for a rib that happened to him in WWE.

While speaking on the Oh… You Didn’t Know? podcast, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Live Events, Road Dogg, recalled how Lio Rush was pranked into setting in Vince McMahon’s chair.

“I like Lio Rush a lot.I worked with him in NXT, I really like the kid, and he loves the wrestling business. He’s a great kid and a great worker, and does some incredible things in a wrestling ring.

One time I came up to sit in my chair for SmackDown, and Vince wasn’t there at the time. And sitting in the chair that I would sit in, that is Vince’s, is Lio Rush. It turns out some guys ribbed him and told him to sit there. I felt bad, and he was so apologetic.”

After leaving WWE, Rush went on to work for renowned companies including AEW, NJPW, AAA, GCW, PWG, RevPro, and MLW. He is currently happy working in NJPW and that is all that matters.
