CM Punk’s run in WWE came to a shocking halt after the Royal Rumble in 2014 when he was frustrated with the company, which led to him walking out. Punk had promised he would never return to pro wrestling but he ended up breaking up that promise last year. Amidst his AEW absence, Teddy Long believes Triple H could convince Punk to make his WWE return.

CM Punk has been the subject of controversy ever since he cut a shoot promo on Adam Page earlier this year. The brawl after AEW All Out was just another nail in the coffin for him.

Many also believe that Punk might just return to WWE. While speaking to Wrestling Inc, Teddy Long talked about CM Punk’s pro wrestling future. Long stated that he believes Triple H could convince Punk to return to WWE.

“These are two grown men, and I think that they can sit down and they can talk and they can settle their differences,” Long said. “If Hunter sees that there’s money still in CM Punk, then Hunter will act on it. And I think CM Punk, like I said, ain’t a guy out here looking for a job. I think he just wants to be treated right, and whatever angle or push they’re going to give him, he just wants to have them do it right … I think they could bury the hatchet, and I think it would work.”

Triple H was also strongly warned against signing CM Punk. Punk was also blasted for being bitter about his WWE run as well. We will have to wait and see if he will go back to WWE or not.
