WWE Superstars can find their way into some pretty cool situations. For Damian Priest, he tried to land a pretty awesome film role.

According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, Damian Priest was asked to read for a lead role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. He had his eye on the part of Namor, and he tried to get an audition as well.

Priest, real name Luis Martinez, doesn’t have any acting credits that we were able to see outside of pro wrestling, but was asked to read for a significant role in Black Panther Wakanda Forever. Sources familiar with the situation say that Damian Priest was asked to read for the role of Namor, one of the most heavily featured roles in the film, or one of the other featured members of Talokan. We haven’t heard if the read actually took placed, but an inquiry was made. Obviously, Priest didn’t end up as a part of the film.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was met with a big response from fans. Damian Priest didn’t land the role of Namor in the film, but you never know what the future will hold for someone with his skills.
