Ever since her debut in AEW, Jade Cargill has truly established herself as one of the dominant stars in the AEW roster. AEW was the start of Jade Cargill’s wrestling career. Before being signed on to AEW, Jade actually had the choice between AEW and WWE. She recently explained why AEW won her over.

It was in April 2019 when Jade Cargill attended a tryout at WWE Performance Center. She spent the subsequent year training under various wrestlers before finally being signed on to AEW.

In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Cargill explained her decision to make AEW her home in pro wrestling.

“I was actually going between this company and [WWE] at the same time, But, ya know, we have an owner, Tony Khan… I love the fact that he treats us like athletes.”

This was not the first time Cargill held Tony Khan in such a high regard. Jade Cargill has previously praised Tony Khan for his leadership skills.

Since her debut in AEW, Cargill has become a forced to be reckoned with. At the start of the year we saw her become the inaugural AEW TBS Champion. Now Jade Cargill, still the reigning AEW TBS Champion, is set to defend her title against Nyla Rose at November 19’s Full Gear.
