Fans Drag GUNTHER & Braun Strowman Angle On WWE SmackDown

Gunther, formerly known as Walter, before making his main roster debut, held the NXT UK Championship with ease. For more than 800 days, he was the undisputed champion of NXT UK. He became one of the most well-known wrestlers in the WWE thanks to his title reign.

On the most recent SmackDown episode, Gunther shocked fans by decided against fighting Braun Strowman. WWE fans discussed this controversial decision on Twitter. Fans had a lot to say about the disappointing match-up.

The Monster of All Monsters and The New Day teamed up to take on Imperium this week on the Blue brand after the heel stable called Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods “the biggest clowns in WWE” in a backstage segment. Strowman and Gunther came face-to-face for the first time ever during that battle. The former Universal Champion did not respond to the Ring General’s chops, so the Ring General quickly tagged out.

The 35-year-old’s actions resulted in Imperium losing the match after Kingston and Woods hit Midnight Hour on Ludwig Kaiser. It should be noted that fans’ reactions to the exchange between the two were conflicting. Since moving up to the main roster, the former NXT UK Champion has been billed as an unstoppable force and has gone undefeated in singles competition.
