One of the more underrated tag teams in WWE during the early 2000s is The World’s Greatest Tag Team with Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. Along with Kurt Angle, the trio wasn’t around that long, but they made a short-term impact then and now one of the members wants the team to reform in WWE.

WrestlingNews.co spoke to Charlie Haas and he is interested in reforming The World’s Greatest Tag Team in WWE, Charlie stated that the storyline has to be right, and hopefully they will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and thrown in the “never say never” line.

“Oh, yeah, definitely. I’m in shape for it. I’ve been wrestling lately, doing a lot of single stuff. But I would do it in a second. If the storyline was right. If it was going to honor World’s Greatest Tag Team, if it was going to put us in a right place to catapult us to maybe into getting into Hall of Fame status then I definitely would. But if it’s going to hurt us in any way, and just hurt what we have worked so hard for then I wouldn’t do it. That’s where I’m at right now in my career. So it all depends on the storyline and what would happen.”

“Never Say Never in this business. Never say never. You just never know.”

The World’s Greatest Tag Team possibly reuniting in WWE is a great scenario for long-time fans of the Ruthless Aggression era. They would be a nice addition to the tag team division and hopefully get Benjamin even more screen time on the main roster.

One last hurrah for the team would be great. Although Angle should join them as a manager to bring them more credibility again. We’ll have to see what happens next.
