Jay Lethal debuted at AEW Full Gear 2021 and challenged Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship. Ever since then, Lethal has been involved in some meaningful storylines. Amid questions about Jay Lethal’s booking, the former Impact star revealed details regarding his future in the company.

Jey Lethal recently appeared on the Kurt Angle Show, where he discussed how long he plans to stay in the promotion. During the interview, Lethal said that he will stay with AEW until they fire him or the company closes.

“Things happen for a reason. Now, I am in AEW, which is amazing. It’s a godsend. Then, they bought Ring of Honor, but I’ll be at AEW until the company closes, they let me go, or they fire me, because, to me, in wrestling, if I’m going to put my body, my life, and my career on the line for you, I’ve got to appreciate and love you. There is some bond between us and I’m going to try my hardest to not ever break that bond. So, if you don’t break it, I’m not going to break it, and we’ll bond forever.”

During the same interview, Jay Lethal said that he would still be working with Impact Wrestling had they not fired him. He also further said that he would’ve been with ROH had they not closed down. Given his statement, it looks like Lethal will remain with AEW for a long time.
