Shawn Michaels is widely regarded as one of the greatest technical in-ring performers of all time. Michaels has a lot of experience in the business and is now ready to pass on that experience to the young talent of NXT with his role as Vice President of Talent Development.

During a recent interview with The Ringer, Shawn Michaels admitted that the pro wrestling business has continued to evolve over the years. He further stated that he’s excited to watch that evolution.

“I’m just someone that feels like the business has to continue to evolve. I think I was considered a flippy guy at one time, and I can’t do half the stuff they all do. The business will continue to change and I’m excited to watch it do that. I’m not going to fight that wave. And I know change is not going to come from a 57-year-old Shawn Michaels, you know what I mean?”

The moves that a wrestler performs in the ring today are far better than the moves we used to witness 20 years ago. Nowadays, it’s far more common to see big men fly around like cruiserweights. Therefore, it’s safe to say the pro wrestling landscape has a promising future.
