AEW has come a long way since their first show. Over the years, they have grown to become one of WWE’s biggest competitors. AEW even won the Wednesday Night Wars against NXT, forcing the latter to change its television air day to Tuesday. While it’s easy for everyone outside these two promotions to claim that they are at war, it may not be the case for Wheeler Yuta.

During a recent appearance on MackMania, Wheeler Yuta clarified if AEW is at war with WWE by saying that they are not trying to have a big war. Instead, they are trying to put on the best AEW show possible. He also said that it’s better for wrestling if there are more places to wrestle.

“I can’t speak for everyone else, but for me, absolutely not,” Yuta said empathically. “We’re not trying to take everyone out, have a big war — we’re trying to put on the best AEW wrestling show that we can put on, and I think that in doing so, we’ve created this alternative. We’ve created just like a whole different vibe, a whole different feel to our show.” Yuta continued, “The more places there are for people to wrestle, the better it is for wrestling. Because even if we’re not trying to, you know, take them out, in a way we are trying to, like you said, put on our best show.”

While the owners of both promotions may be trying to run each other out of business, it’s good to see that the wrestlers are just focused on delivering the best show possible. Maybe in the near future, we can live in a world where both AEW and WWE can forge a partnership and coexist together.
