Two Title Matches & More Booked For WWE NXT Next Week

Tonight’s episode of NXT was pretty exciting, with plenty of good matches and a heel turn to end the show. Next week promises to be no different, with a couple of championship matches announced for the night. The match card for the show is as follows:

Two weeks from today, Wes Lee will defend the NXT North American Championship against Carmelo Hayes. However, next week, the two men will meet in the ring to sign the contract for the match.

The premise of this match is that Carmelo Hayes was never pinned for the title. Even on tonight’s episode, Hayes called Wes Lee a paper champion and stated that he will regain the title in two weeks’ time. Given that it is a contract signing, expect something to go wrong like it always does.

At NXT Halloween Havoc, Alba Fyre came up short against Mandy Rose thanks to Toxic Attraction. Hence, Alba Fyre has been busy over the past few weeks trying to level the playing field. Last week, Alba Fyre took out Gigi Dolin, and this week she took out Jacy Jayne. This will ensure her title match against Mandy Rose next week is truly a one-on-one contest.

Von Wagner staked his claim for a title shot when he assaulted Bron Breakker last week on NXT after the latter’s match. The match was finally made official a couple of days ago.

Tonight, both Von Wagner and Bron Breakker came face-to-face on the Grayson Waller Effect, with both men claiming they are going to walk out of their match next week as NXT Champion.

While no other matches were announced for the show, the two title matches that were already announced make next week’s show seem pretty interesting. More matches will be added later in the week. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we will keep you posted regarding the updated match card for next week.
