CM Punk’s run in WWE came to an end after the Royal Rumble in 2014 when he was frustrated with the company, which led to him walking out. Punk essentially hated pro wrestling, and fans gave up on him making a return. Of course, he did end up returning 7 years later.

CM Punk has been the subject of controversy ever since he cut a shoot promo on Adam Page earlier this year. The brawl after AEW All Out was just another nail in the coffin for him.

Since then, there has been speculation that Punk might return to WWE. While speaking on his Monday Mailbag podcast, Mike Chioda advised Triple H to put aside his differences with CM Punk.

“Kevin Owens is getting a great contract [of 3 to 5 million dollars a year]. There’s a lot of guys getting contracts and getting paid. Roman [Reigns] is probably making 8 to 10 million a year. If Punk came in making $5 million a year or whatever it is, I would. I’d put all of my differences aside and say ‘Let’s do business.”

Triple H has also softened up when it comes to CM Punk. We will have to wait and see if he will go to WWE or not. For the time being, that seems very unlikely.
