Drew McIntyre is certainly one of the top Superstars in WWE, and he clearly loves his job a lot. He is also a beloved talent who does whatever the company asks of him.

McIntyre worked hard to transform himself and returned to WWE back in 2017. He has certainly accomplished a lot both in NXT and on the main roster. He is definitely a future WWE Hall Of Famer.

While speaking on The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 talked about Drew McIntyre’s struggles to remain at the top of the company. He blamed McIntyre for the struggles as well.

“The last I have seen of Drew [McIntyre] was at Clash at the Castle. Two studs [McIntyre and Roman Reigns] out there killing it in front of 60,000 people, a red-hot crowd. My last perception of him was that. Sometimes, you have that run on the top, you’re engrained in that creative’s world. He’s always in the mix, but he doesn’t have to do anything. He doesn’t need any change, context, or progression because he’s already been there; we know he’s our top guy.

Maybe it’s on him, too, to slightly evolve himself, or he’s just comfortable, ‘I’m in the top three no matter what or top five, I can get back up there.’ But sometimes you need something drastic to happen to reinvigorate yourself, not only your passion but also of the fans behind you.”

Drew McIntyre was defeated by Karrion Kross at WWE Extreme Rules in a brutal strap match. We will have to wait and see what the company has in store for him.
