The recent merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery has been seen as a huge thing for a variety of reasons. So far, WarnerMedia has been quite satisfied with AEW’s performance on TNT and TBS. Despite that, AEW fans in Europe might be facing some trouble soon.

With the inception of AEW Rampage last year and the company buying out Ring of Honor, the company has more content than ever before. Due to this many, fans have wondered if AEW will ever get a streaming service.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, various subscribers all over Europe, including Switzerland and Germany, were informed that AEW Dynamite and Rampage will no longer stream in their countries.

Subscribers to AEW Plus in Switzerland were sent out a message that effective on 11/22 in that country that they are no longer offering like Dynamite and Rampage shows live in the market and that FITE, which runs AEW Plus will put those shows up 30 days after they take place. In Switzerland, subscribers were told that the Dynamite and Rampage are now exclusive to the market on TNT Serie for the first 30 days.

The story behind this is AEW signed a new deal with Warner Germany and part of the deal allowed AEW Plus on FITE in Germany for the first time, but the main shows would have to have a 30 day delay before they could be put on the system. They asked AEW to standardize that on FITE in Switzerland. I don’t know how much interest there is in a streaming service airing shows 30 days after they aired as compared to one where you access it live on Wednesday and Rampage airs at the same time on the service as in the U.S. AEW Plus is also debuting in France but I believe that will have the same stipulations.”

It is not known why AEW is cancelling their streams for European countries. Regardless, nothing much can be done about it. We will keep you updated if we hear any other information regarding AEW and it’s streaming services.
