Ace Steel was involved in the backstage brawl after the AEW media scrum. He was CM Punk’s trainer years ago, and he found himself fighting on Punk’s side against The Elite. Now, Steel is no longer with the company.

It was thought that Steel was released from AEW. He sent out a tweet with an animated gif that said “Freedom” on October 12th.

Dave Meltzer confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Steel is no longer under contract with the company. So far, he is the only one who was fired due to the ordeal.

“So he was officially released yesterday. So I guess that is the first bit of news out of that whole situation in weeks. There’s a lot of other stuff going on.”

Kenny Omega was not allowed to even send in video message during AAA Triplemania. He was also spotted with fans at Universal Studios, so he’s doing well. CM Punk was spotted with an arm brace on after surgery, and the Young Bucks have been relatively silent since the ordeal.

CM Punk, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega are all still with the company, but they are under suspension. An investigation might be delaying this situation, because it is unknown when any of them will return to Tony Khan’s company. We know that Ace Steel must move on, because he is no longer employed.
