Becky Lynch hasn’t been in action for a bit of time, and we last saw her in an arm sling. It appears that we have a bit of an update, but it might not be the kind that fans are looking for.

Sean Sapp posted behind Fightful’s paywall to address a bit of a rumor killer about The Man. It was said that Lynch will be back by September, but that hasn’t been confirmed by anyone. At this point, there is hope that she will be back by the end of 2022, but nothing is etched in stone at this point.

Early last month, a rumor emerged that Becky Lynch was ahead of schedule for her return due to a shoulder injury and would be back by the end of September. When Fightful inquired about that, nobody in WWE confirmed that, and even beyond that, we were told that the company had yet to follow up with Becky Lynch about a possible return at that point, and was never slated for a September return.

Upon sustaining her injury at WWE SummerSlam, WWE’s hope was that Becky Lynch would be able to avoid surgery and would return in a few months with rehab. Becky Lynch was at the site of Raw this past Monday, but as of early September, we were told that her doctors and physical therapists had thought it would be at least a couple of months before she could get near a ring. There’s no definitive timetable on her return.

Those that we spoke to within WWE creative said they were hopeful to have Becky Lynch back by the end of the year, but that wasn’t guaranteed, and was more being optimistic in the hope that she wouldn’t have surgery.

Only time will tell when Becky Lynch returns, but there is obviously hope that she will return by the Royal Rumble. That would get her back on the road to WrestleMania 39 in a big way.
