AEW has come a long way since its inception in 2019. This includes an overall change to the feel of the product, as well as improvement in matches, among other things. That being said, Tony Khan isn’t letting his talent leave, so they can go to WWE.

The company has an insanely stacked roster, which means not everyone can always get the limelight. Due to this, many talent have become frustrated and want to leave the company.

However, Tony Khan made it clear that he will not be releasing wrestlers who want to leave and will keep them instead. While speaking on The Wrestling Outlaws, former WWE Superstar EC3 stated that he believes Tony Khan is cursing AEW by keeping wrestlers who want to leave.

“If money mattered, which it does to 98% of us, he’d [Andrade] be gone. ‘You don’t want to be here, good, I don’t want you here, I don’t want anyone here because, guess what, for the price of one of you I can get seven guys that are just as talented and twice as hungry so go kick rocks buddy.’ But no, money doesn’t matter and it’s almost, it’s a curse, it’s a curse to the company because they can just outspend bad mistake after bad mistake after poor decision after bad leadership and bad morality.”

We will have to wait and see whether there will be more disgruntled stars in AEW or not. For the time being, that seems highly possible.
