Jon Moxley made his debut at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 and instantly became a huge star there. He has truly been one of the most consistent and dependable stars in the company as well.

As previously reported, The Purveyor Of Violence and current AEW World Champion recently signed five-year contract with AEW, ensuring he will be with the company for a very long time. He will also be a trainer and coach as part of that new contract.

According to Fightful’s paywall, Jon Moxley was a free agent until he re-signed with AEW. Sources in AEW claimed that Moxley had been working without a contract, but did not specify for how long.

Several sources indicated that Jon Moxley had been working at some point without a contract, but Fightful has not confirmed that. However, when we repeatedly asked about his contract status throughout the summer, we were told it was “quite a situation,” and were also told that AEW would do whatever it took to keep him with the company for the rest of his career. It goes without saying that AEW has worked to make a big investment in Moxley.
