Tony Nese and Josh Woods are trying to break into AEW’s tag team division with their in-ring skills. The duo got a new name during a live edition of Rampage in Washington D.C. tonight.

Tony Nese and Josh Woods squash took on Varsity Blondes during Rampage this week. Nese and Woods made quick work of Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison and got the win.

Mark Sterling entered the ring and announced that he had filed to trademark “varsity,” noting that Tony Nese and Josh Woods will be known as “Varsity Athletes” going forward.

The trio were confronted by The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn and decided it was wise to leave the ring. Max Caster cut his rap promo and destroyed Nese, Woods and Sterling.
