AEW Grand Slam for Wednesday night has a strong card. The World Heavyweight Championship tournament will finally be resolved after a month of drama surrounding the title. Now the CEO of AEW is making promises.

AEW President Tony Khan recently spoke with News12 to build hype for tomorrow night’s Grand Slam Dynamite event, which takes place from Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York. Khan tells the station that he plans on delivering an event that is unlike anything AEW fans have seen since they launched back in 2019, Khan went so far as referring to reference Wayne’s World 2’s Waynestock, the epic festival.

“I’m gonna do my best to make it a fun night for the fans. I promise I won’t disappoint with it this time. I rarely have, and rarely, rarely, rarely in several hundred shows have I ever, and certainly never intentionally. This will not be anything, anything, anything, like anything we’ve ever done before. I’m very excited for Grand Slam.”

In the past couple of weeks, AEW programming has improved its quality with the suspension of CM Punk, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks still in effect. With less drama behind the scenes, hopefully, the product will continue.
