Roderick Strong is one of the few remaining veterans in NXT from the days when the top stars all came from the independent ranks. Strong has a long history as an excellent in-ring performer and can always deliver a good match. He is also injured as well, and that caused an angle to get pushed back a bit.

Strong is the leader of Diamond Mine and for months now, there has been dissension within Diamond Mine, specifically with Julius Creed being unhappy about how Strong is as a leader.

Julius vs Strong is likely happening, but it won’t be anytime soon. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there was an angle planned for a feud between the two on past Tuesday’s August 30 edition of NXT 2.0, but it had to be delayed due to Strong suffering from an injury.

At Worlds Collide, Julius and Brutus Creed compete in a four-way tag team championship unification match against Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, Pretty Deadly, and Gallus. We’ll have to see when Roderick Strong will be back.
