Gunther is the current Intercontinental Champion, and he carried that title through WWE’s big transition. He will face Sheamus at WWE’s Clash at the Castle show in Cardiff. Being Vince McMahon’s final IC Champion has some weight to it, and the former WALTER had his own dealings with Mr. McMahon.

Gunther appeared on 101 WRIF and shared his thoughts on working with Vince McMahon. Every superstar has their perception of working with someone, and Gunther had his own experience.

“I am actually glad I got the chance to work with Vince a little bit since my time there and the few interactions we had, there weren’t that many. I still made that experience a little bit, obviously everybody was surprised about that, whatever company if somebody else is in charge things gonna be done a little different, that’s normal, everybody has his own approach. But I’ve gotta be honest I haven’t felt stressed or anything like that before, I always kind of focused on myself and … that’s not gonna change.”

Gunther has been impressive since his debut on NXT UK and as the leader of Imperium. His work as the current Intercontinental Champion is noted as his best work in recent memory.

It’s not a question of who will win at Clash at the Castle, because both men are talented superstars. The bigger question is if this match steals the show in Cardiff, or is it the WWE Universal Championship match that will leave a lasting impression?
