Finn Balor is former 2-time NXT Champion and was truly one of the most significant names in NXT. However, neither of his main roster runs proved to be memorable at all.

The COVID-19 pandemic took over the world back in 2020 and this included the world of professional wrestling. WWE was forced to undergo a lot of changes to combat the situation.

While speaking on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Finn Balor revealed that the pandemic was the most mentally challenging period of his life, for reasons outside pro wrestling.

“It was the most mentally challenging period of my life without question. Not anything to do with work, it was all like personal stuff. Being land locked here in the US, I was also dealing with some visa issues too which couldn’t get resolved because I was landlocked in US because of COVID. You gotta go back and do it in the embassy in Ireland. So couldn’t do that.

My wife got dragged into that same situation because she’s on my visa. It was super challenging. My dad had been sick, I couldn’t see my dad. Couldn’t see my brothers and sisters. Their kids just grew up. They were infants or they weren’t even born and now they’re like full grown humans. It was a tough time.”

He also pitched to make his way to NXT UK last year. Finn Balor is currently the leader of Judgment Day and feuding with Edge, Rey Mysterio and Beth Phoenix. We will have to wait and see when their feud will culminate in yet another match.
