WWE NXT stars Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark were pulled from tonight’s SmackDown. The two were supposed to compete in the Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament, but the match needed to be changed. More information has come in that reveals when the decision was made to pull Lyons and Stark and whether Lyons is genuinely injured.

According to PW Insider, the decision to change tonight’s match was made yesterday. The report also noted that while the announcement of Lyons being “medically unavailable” to compete is correct, but the NXT star is not actually injured.

We are told that the wording in the announcement was “correct”, but that Lyons is not currently injured and that an injury did not result in her being pulled from the taping.

The decision was made yesterday to keep Lyons from traveling to Smackdown in Canada and send Toxic Attraction in her and Zoey Stark’s place.
