WWE is a place where there are many backstage stories, and Brian Gewirtz is most known for his tenure as a writer in WWE. So, Gerwirtz has plenty of stories to tell. He recently stated on a podcast that he has given help to AEW talent during promos.

Gewirtz worked closely with former WWE talents including Chris Jericho and The Rock, the latter of whom he still works with as a part of Seven Bucks Productions. Currently, Gewirtz is working for SBP on the set of Young Rock. He has also recently released a book entitled There’s Just One Problem: True Tales from the Former, One-Time, 7th Most Powerful Person in WWE.

On a recent episode of Sports Media with Richard Deitsch Gewirtz said that he has given some good lines to people like MJF, because he wants to help out when he can.

“I’ve always maintained a great friendship with Jericho. He called me a couple of times and I threw stuff out at him. He even called me out one time because he asked me about something and I was like ‘Well, I’m in Australia for Young Rock, I haven’t been able to watch the show.’ He’s like, ‘You have a fucking computer don’t you? Just watch the damn thing.’ ‘Well I can’t argue with that, you’re right.’ There are a couple of, I kind of remember, I don’t remember specifically what the lines were. If a wrestler calls me and asks for a line, I’d love to help.”

Gewirtz also had high praise for the ongoing situation between AEW and MJF, mentioning he could just text MJF and find out if it is a work or shoot, but would rather let it play out. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more!
