Royal Rumble is one of the “big four” events for WWE. The January premium live event serves as the ‘eject pod’ to WrestleMania, with the winners of the Men and Women’s Royal Rumble Matches earning a guaranteed title shot on the grandest stage of them all.

According to PW Insider, WWE is eyeing a familiar location for the 36th annual Royal Rumble premium live event, San Antonio, Texas. This event will be held at the Alamodome, a venue that can hold a ton of people.

The word making the rounds at WWE HQ over the last week is that the company is targeting San Antonio, Texas for the January 2023 Royal Rumble PPV weekend.

WWE has held The Rumble several times at the 64,000 seat Alamodome in the past, holding the PPV event there in both 1997 and 2017.  It would make sense that would be the venue again.
