Matt Riddle wasted no time in becoming a highlight of WWE television after transitioning from the UFC to pro wrestling. His in-ring skills and chill character work have helped him gain fanfare. Now fans will be happy, because his storyline injury won’t stop him from competing at live events.

Seth Rollins stomped Matt Riddle on the steel steps before SummerSlam, forcing him to be “medically disqualified” from his match with Rollins at WWE SummerSlam. The Original Bro might have been “medically disqualified,” but this is all part of the show.

Riddle still came out during SummerSlam, but was hit with yet another stomp from Rollins after a brief brawl. According to PW Insider, the injury storyline won’t leave Riddle out of this weekend’s WWE live events.

The Original Bro is expected to compete in matches during the live events. His last appearances on house shows saw him defeat Rollins in four straight street fights as well.

We will have to wait and see whether WWE continues Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins’ storyline in the future. Fans would love to see more from them, but it’s Triple H’s show now.
