Impact Wrestling is already gearing up for their next big pay-per-view called Emergence. It will be taking place on August 12 and the company has already started making preparations for it.

The most recent Impact Wrestling tapings in Louisville, Kentucky featured a high-stakes match that has implications for the main event at Emergence on August 12.

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley faced each other in a singles matc to determine who would be the new #1 contender to Josh Alexander’s Impact Championship at the event.

In the end, it was Alex Shelly who won the match and will challenge Alexander for the title. The match will air this Thursday on Impact via the AXS channel. We’ll have to see whether Shelly will dethrone Alexander at the event or not.
