Alan Angels was one of the original members when AEW made its debut back in 2019. As previously reported, multiple performers in the promotion have had their per-appearance agreements expire. Alan Angels recently hinted at him being one of them as well.

That is exactly what happened as the former Dark Order member’s AEW contract expired. He even wrote an emotional message following his departure. Fans wondered what he would do next as well.

While speaking to the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, Alan Angels admitted he did not like wrestling with a mask in AEW – he was actually uncomfortable.

“Personally, no, I didn’t like the mask. I think it was a good look. I think it looks cool. But, personally, I didn’t like wrestling in it. It’s just uncomfortable and I have to worry about it staying on all the time and making sure it doesn’t fall off. You got to fix it so you can see through the eye holes and stuff like that. I personally didn’t like it. But like I said, I did think it was kind of a cool look for sure.”

Alan Angels also made his appearance at the Against All Odds event. He also wants a mini Dark Order reunion in the indies. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Alan Angels.
