The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the entire world. While the spread of it might have tamed down today, but that doesn’t mean we have completely eliminated the threat. Many companies around the world have suffered due to Covid cases, and wrestling promotion are not exceptions.

NORTH Wrestling, an independent promotion, based out of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England has been dealing with the Covid ordeal. The promotion recently made two tweets urging their followers to get tested for the virus.

This move came days after the promotion ran a weekend show. It turns out, that show led many people in attendance were test positive for COVID-19. To prevent the further spread of the virus, they want audience to take precautionary measures.

Sadly, we’re getting reports of people testing positive for COVID-19, who were in attendance on Saturday. It feels quite inevitable at this point — so please get tested if you were at the show. Let’s keep each other safe, especially if you’re attending any events this week!

Obviously, tests aren’t free on the NHS anymore, but we picked up some at our local pharmacy, over the counter. You can follow current guidelines here.

NORTH Wrestling’s struggle with Covid just goes on to show that people have only become careless in the past few months. A couple of months back they were reports stating WWE was also having concerns related to that subject. Having said that, WWE is back on their leg but people still need to be careful.
