AEW debuted the All-Atlantic Championship in June 2022 and fans weren’t thrilled about it, to say the least. The promotion was flaked for bringing another strap to an already stacked championship vault.

AEW crowned the first-ever All-Atlantic Champion at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view event on June 26th. PAC won the title in a fatal-four-way match that also included Miro, Malakai Black and Clark Connors.

AEW commentator Tony Schiavone was on this week’s AEW Unrestricted podcast where he responded to the criticism that the Jacksonville-based promotion has too many titles.

“We’ve got some pretty solid champions in place. I shouldn’t even address this. Every fan has their opinion. Do you think there are too many titles now? “I don’t. I like title matches.”

For those not in the know, AEW has seven championships in total. ROH, which operates under the AEW umbrella, has six titles of their own. Keep reading Ringside News for more!
