Kevin Owens has been trying to prove that Elias and Ezekiel are the same person ever since early April. The storyline has been one of the funniest WWE has produced in a long time. On last night’s Raw, the stakes were set to be raised as WWE advertised KO vs Zeke in a qualifier for the upcoming Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Unfortunately, that bout did not happen as scheduled.

The commentary team noted that the match had to be postponed. No reason was given. Ezekiel wound up in a brief backstage segment with John Cena.

While the nature of Kevin Owens’ absence from Raw is unknown, it doesn’t appear to have been anything major. On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that it was a minor situation. Fans shouldn’t be too worried about the status of Owens.

“Kevin Owens, whatever the situation is is minor, but he was not on the show which is why the Ezekiel match did not happen as originally scheduled, which was, I guess, that was going to be for the last spot in Money in the Bank.”

WWE could reschedule the match for Friday night’s episode of SmackDown. There is still one spot open in the men’s MITB match. Owens has been known to be very good in ladder matches and would make sense as the final addition.

Fans will have to stay tuned to see if WWE reschedules Kevin Owens vs Ezekiel for Friday night. All the Zeke Freaks have been looking forward to seeing what’s next for Elias’ younger brother. Hopefully, they won’t have to wait too long.
