AEW has certainly come a long way since its inception back in 2019. They have improved themselves in quite a few ways, and there is a lot of room for improvement in various areas. Tony Khan also has more future plans for AEW.

NJPW and AEW started a working partnership last year, which delighted fans. Their relationship improved to the point that they are working together for the AEW NJPW crossover event called ‘Forbidden Door.’

While speaking to Tokyo Sports, AEW President Tony Khan stated that he wants to hold an AEW tournament in Japan somewhere down the line.

“I haven’t held a tournament in another country yet, but I want to try to deliver AEW to the world. Of course, I want to do a tournament in Japan, and if I want to do it, I want to invite a lot of new Japanese wrestlers. Japan is definitely included in the list of countries where I want to do an AEW tournament.”
