Buddy Murphy was a highlight in 205 Live where he put on excellent matches on weekly basis. Murphy would eventually move to the main roster, where he floundered after a while before hooking up with Rey Mysterio’s daughter on-screen. He was eventually released back in June of last year, but then found his way to AEW.

Murphy changed his name to Buddy Matthews and competed in numerous promotions such as NJPW and others. He then made his way to AEW as part of The House Of Black.

Matthews took to his Instagram and uploaded a post, where he revealed that he has been dealing with a shoulder injury. He did not give any details about his injury.

Always a work in progress. Dealing with a shoulder injury which limits a lot of my shoulder movements. But slowly increasing the weight again. He better than you were yesterday!

It is also not known whether Buddy Matthews will need to take some time off to heal or not. Regardless, we hope Matthews will make a speedy recovery and compete again.
