The Hurt Business made a lot of strides during their run in the company and elevated Bobby Lashley, MVP, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. However, as is the case for many factions in WWE, the faction broke up last year on Monday Night RAW. Lashley also had an interesting pitch for Shelton Benjamin.

Even Roman Reigns felt that the faction was broken up too early. They eventually came back together last year for a brief period of time before separating once again.

While speaking in the newest episode of WWE “Table For 3,’‘ Bobby Lashley revealed that he pitched for Shelton Benjamin to be the Suge Knight of The Hurt Business.

“They didn’t know what to do with me and what they were doing, you know. I don’t think anyone was on board with, myself included. So when you approached [me] with [the idea for The Hurt Business], I think even you had said like you said I could be the Suge Knight character and everything. As you described it to me, I’m listening. I was just thinking to myself, ‘Okay, the more you describe this, that’s just not me.’ I’m like, the more you talk like, that feels like [MVP] and every time looks like him too. Yeah, so we can be a tag team. But [MVP] is more like what you’re describing. That’s MVP. You know, that’s, that’s tailor-made for him.”

Bobby Lashley is currently feuding with Austin Theory for the United States Title. As for The Hurt Business, the faction may never be together again and fans just have to bear with it now.
