Legendary pro wrestling referee Dave Hebner has recently passed away at 73. Dave’s most famous pro wrestling role came when he and his twin brother Earl Hebner were embroiled in a plot to deprive Hulk Hogan of the World Championship. Earl has now said his last goodbye to his twin brother.

Dave’s twin brother Earl recently took to Twitter to issue a statement after his brother’s passing. The twin brothers have been partners in crime, road buddies and other half for 73 years. It must have been the toughest for him to bade his last goodbye.

Yesterday I had to say my last goodbye to my other half, my partner in crime, my road buddy for years, my brother for 73 years. I love you David, I’ll never count you out.

Sean Waltman also paid his tribute saying, “I’m sad to learn of Dave Hebner’s passing. He & his brother Earl are two of the nicest people I’ve ever crossed paths with in Pro Wrestling.” Kane wrote, “By the time I arrived in @WWE, Dave was a road agent, helping with travel arrangements and a liason with arena staff. He was a super guy and will be missed.”


Gerald Brisco also said in a statement, “Sad news about Dave Hebner been friends since 1970 when he and baby Earl were setting up the ring. Had much respect for the Hebner’s. They were part of the company biggest angle both are deserving to @WWE HOF.” We send our deepest condolences to Dave Hebner’s entire family, friend and loved ones. RIP.
