AEW has several titles going around, but they only have one pair of tag team belts. Word is that could be changing and Tony Khan is considering those options.

During his Double or Nothing media conference, Tony Khan was asked about bringing in Women’s Tag Team Titles. This is something that AEW hasn’t really hinted at, but fans are obviously interested. TK responded ton confirm that they are certainly weighing those options.

“Yeah, I have [thought about them]. We have a lot of great wrestlers in AEW and a lot of great women and men wrestlers in AEW. I have thought about doing those and as we continue to expand the roster and hopefully get more teams and get some people who have been injury and on the shelf, back, that would be something I would love to do in the future. The trios belts would be something that I think the fans would enjoy and fans have called for, but I would love to add more titles and more champions as we go if they make sense and those are both cool ideas and stuff we’ve talked about.”

We’ll have to see how long it takes for AEW to introduce Women’s Tag Team Titles. It only seems like a matter of time at this point. In the end, they also must consider if their women’s division can really sustain tag team title belts, but that’s another story.
