Chris Jericho has once again reinvented himself. The former world champion recently formed the Jericho Appreciation Society in All Elite Wrestling. Jericho has been referring to his new stable as “sports entertainers.”
When he isn’t involved in the in-ring drama, Jericho has been doing color commentary on Rampage. One fan recently took to Twitter to rant about Jericho’s performance at the broadcast table. Jericho responded as only he can.
Chris Jericho told the fan not to worry about a boycott of Rampage. Instead, Jericho arbitrarily banned the fan from watching the show. Of course, there is no way to enforce such a thing, but Jericho did some masterful character work on Twitter.
“Don’t worry about boycotting. As of this moment forward, you’re officially BANNED from watching #AEWRampage….”
The fan’s brush with greatness got over 1,300 likes. Several fans responded with positive feedback on Y2J’s work on the mic. Jericho won’t have to worry about the fan anymore, now that he has been banned.
Of course, it was all in good fun. Jericho’s latest heel character has shown some major arrogance. Having the audacity to ban a fan from watching a TV show is some next-level stuff. Time will tell if Chris makes any further moves to enforce the kayfabe banishment.
