WWE has not confirmed any matches for SmackDown tonight as of writing this but they have advertised new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns appearing to “reveal the next step on the Island of Relevancy”

It should be interesting to see how thing play out on tonight’s show.

SmackDown kicks off live with Kayla Braxton introducing Ronda Rousey who makes her way down to the ring. Rousey says she didn’t come here to make excuses for her loss at WrestleMania. Rousey says she tapped out Charlotte Flair, but not when it counted, and she wants a rematch, and at WrestleMania Backlash, she challenges Charlotte to an I Quit match.

Charlotte appears on the titantron where she says that Rousey couldn’t win when it mattered, and Charlotte denies the challenge and tells Rousey to get to the back of the line.

Butch vs Xavier Woods

The match begins with a lock up followed up with a lariat from Butch. Butch hits a series of right hands to Woods on the mat. Butch dodges a corner splash causing Woods to crash to the corner. Butch rolls out of the ring and Butch dodges a dive from Woods and Butch slams Woods off the ring apron.

*Commercial break*

The match continues live with Butch hitting multiple forearm strikes and going for a cover for two. Woods avoids a lariat to hit a forearm and then a heel kick. Woods avoids a suplex and hits an enziguri. Butch hits a kick to the back of Woods’ neck and Butch covers for two. Woods avoids a running knee and gets an inside cradle for the three count.

Winner: Xavier Woods

Back live with Sami Zayn talking to Adam Pearce backstage. Zayn calls out his WrestleMania match with Johnny Knoxville. Zayn says that enough is wnough and he wants his respect back. Zayn says he wants a match with the next person who walks through the door. Pearce agrees and then Drew McIntyre walks through the locker room door as Pearce makes the match official.

Kayla Braxton introduces “Ludwig Kaiser” who stands on the ramp and introduces the SmackDown crowd to Gunther making his SmackDown debut.

Gunther vs Joe Alonzo

The match begins and Gunther sends Alonzo halfway across the ring with a hip toss. Gunther hits a chop and follows with a big boot. Gunther hits another chop and follows with a body slam. Gunther hits a power bomb and covers for three.

Winner: Gunther

Kayla Braxton is backstage interviewing “Raquel Rodriguez” Raquel is interrupted by Angel and Humberto and Angel says they’d like to welcome her to SmackDown with a kiss, Raquel does not go for it and Los Lotharios walk away while terrified.

Back live with Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss in the ring for another edition of Happy Talk. Corbin says this was supposed to be the happiest Happy Talk ever. Corbin says he’s been doing a lot of self-reflecting and that there’s only one person to blame for his loss, Madcap Moss, Moss begins to apologize but Corbin interrupts and says that he made WrestleMania weekend all about him. Corbin says he has forgotten his place, to tell Corbin jokes. Moss tells a joke to try and calm Corbin, Corbin calls it terrible and demands a new one. Corbin says he will give Moss one more chance. Moss starts a joke that ends with a punchline calling Corbin a joke, Corbin attacks Moss from behind. Moss rises u and takes out Corbin with a spear as the crowd goes wild. Corbin rolls outside of the ring and throws Moss to the barricade. Moss turns it around and slams Corbin off the announce table. Corbin runs away as Moss embraces the energy from the crowd.

Drew McIntyre vs Sami Zayn

The match begins and Zayn immediately rolls outside the ring. Zayn slowly gets back in the ring before rolling out again. McIntyre goes after Zayn and slams him off the barricade and throws him back in the ring. McIntyre hits a belly to belly throw. McIntyre goes for a big boot but Zayn again rolls outside. McIntyre bounces Zayn off the announce table. McIntyre climbs back in the ring and Zayn rolls out the other side of the ring. Zayn begins to walk away up the ramp and mcIntyre runs him down and hits a lariat. McIntyre carries Zayn back to the ring on his shoulders. McIntyre goes for the Claymore, and Zayn escapes the ring yet again, this time escaping through the crowd for a count out finish.

Winner by Count out: Drew McIntyre

Back live with Lacey Evans talking backstage. Evans runs down part of her childhood story where he mentions her father struggled with addiction and when she was very young her mother took her and left Lacey’s father. Evans says that her life story has made her tougher and able to adapt and that it has made her a caring mother, wife, sister, United States Marine and WWE superstar.

Sasha Banks vs Liv Morgan

The match begins with a lock up, Morgan goes for a quick roll up for a one count. Banks hits an arm drag take down off the middle rope. Morgan hits a drop kick off the top rope. Banks dodges a second kick and connects with the back stabber.

The match continues live with Banks hitting a frog splash and going for a cover for a two count. Banks goes for a jack knife cover that Morgan is able to bridge out of. Morgan hits a knee to Banks’ face as both women are knocked down. Morgan avoids Bank statement with a back elbow. Banks hits Morgan with a superplex but after landing Morgan shifts to a pin for a three count.

Winner: Liv Morgan

The newly crowned Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns begins to make his way out to the ring alongside Paul Heyman and The Usos.

Back live with reigns in the ring. Reigns says that SmackDown and the Universal Championship was not enough, and he took Monday Night Raw and the WWE Championship too. Reigns says that there’s not much more he can do, but there’s still plenty left for the Bloodline to achieve. Reigns says he kept seeing his two titles but The Usos only with one title. Reigns says that it’s time to unify the tag team championships. He tells The Usos to go to Raw and bring him the Raw Tag Team Championships. Reigns is interrupted by Shinsuke Nakamura coming out to the ring. Reigns says Nakamura doesn’t have to say anything, he understands and Reigns gives Nakamura a hug, and The Usos follow up with a double super kick.

SmackDown concludes with The Usos saying they’re going to Detroit for Raw and Reigns stands tall in the ring with both of his title belts as SmackDown goes off the air.
