Welcome to the Ringside News live results coverage of WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver for April 2nd, 2022.

It’s WrestleMania weekend and, following the Hall of Fame ceremony last night, the excitement is really peaking. Tonight’s show is a blockbuster one that has been described as the start of a new era in NXT, and nothing epitomises that more than Tommaso Ciampa Vs. Tony D’Angelo. Ciampa has very much indicated this will be his final match in NXT, and his leaving truly feels like the end of the old NXT. And then we have Bron Breakker Vs. Dolph Ziggler for the NXT Championship, a match many assume will crown Breakker as the new face of NXT.

Likewise, the North American Championship ladder match promises to be a car crash that will elevate many of the new stars, and could steal the show. Of course other titles are also on the line: Imperium face MSK and The Creed Brothers for the NXT Tag Team Titles; Mandy Rose defends against Cora Jade, Io Shirai, and Kay Lee Ray; and Toxic Attraction put their tag titles on the line against the reformed Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai. And then Gunther takes on LA Knight in a bout that could wind-up being a number one contender bout.

That’s the run-down for NXT Stand & Deliver. The show kicks-off at 12:00PM EST, and we’ll have all the live coverage, right here. Afterwards we’ll be diving into WrestleMania Night 1, so stay tuned to Ringside News all day and you won’t miss a beat! Enjoy the show!

Kick-Off Show

McKenzie Mitchell is joined by Sam Roberts and Beth Phoenix on the Stand & Deliver Kick-Off Show. The trio run through all the matches on tonight’s show and we see a clip of Bron Breakker walking around Dallas earlier today.

They discuss Tomasso Ciampa Vs. Tony D’Angelo. Sam Roberts asks if this match is Ciampa’s retirement but Beth Phoenix says there is no way, he’s so resilient and tough. Sam Roberts says his favourite Tommaso Ciampa moment is when he turned on Johnny Gargano at TakeOver: Chicago. Roberts says if this is Ciampa’s last match in NXT, he will burn the place down and bury D’Angelo under the ashes. Phoenix agrees.

We see a video package for Mandy Rose Vs. Cora Jade Vs. Io Shirai Vs. Kay Lee Ray. Beth Phoenix says Cora Jade has all the momentum and she can win the big one. Roberts says Jade is talking about her dreams but Mandy is looking to take care of business and that could be the difference maker.

Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams were admiring Dallas yesterday from atop a building. Trick says tonight Hayes gets his final Infinity Stone. Hayes says he will retain his title in a huge ladder match and prove once and for all that he is the A Champion and that he does not miss.

Malcolm Bivens joins the panel and he says big matches brings big money, and he can’t wait to have the money in his pocket. Roberts says The Creed Brothers are very intimidating and he doesn’t think they’re as interested in money. They’re his pick to win while Beth Phoenix sides with MSK.

Edris Enofe is backstage with a basket of goodies for Mandy Rose. Malik Blade takes him to Toxic Attraction’s locker room and makes him go inside. Blade then takes the sign off the door to reveal it’s actually Imperium’s room. We hear a lot of shouting in German and Enofe comes back out looking shellshocked.

We see a video from earlier today of Duke Hudson, Persia Pirotta, Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis all shopping in the same store in an attempt to make the “sexiest cowboy in Dallas”. Lumis continually attempts to choke Duke with a belt but keeps missing. Both couples are standing backstage and you can vote on Twitter for which is sexier.

The panel breakdown the main event bout between Bron Breakker and Dolph Ziggler for the NXT Championship. Sam Roberts says that Ziggler is one of the best in the world and has been for near two decades, and the fact that anyone was surprised that he walked in and took the top prize is crazy. They talk about Bron Breakker inducting his father and uncle into the Hall of Fame last night and says he has ice running through his veins.
