We’re only a couple weeks away from WrestleMania and so each RAW becomes that much more important. As such, AJ Styles returns to RAW for the first time since Edge beat him senseless. Will Styles call Edge out tonight, or will he just hunt him down? Styles and Edge will be facing off, for the first-time ever, on WrestleMania Night 2.
Elsewhere tonight, Becky Lynch will address her vicious assault on Bianca Belair last week, RK-Bro face Alpha Academy in a non-title tag match, and Finn Balor faces Austin Theory in a non-title match. We can also expect more from Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, The Miz, the Mysterio’s, etc. And who knows, maybe one of these nights Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes, or Steve Austin may show up!
That’s the preview for tonight’s RAW. Our live coverage will begin from 8PM right here. Let us know if you’re excited about any of it and remember to hit the refresh link below and enjoy the show!
This week’s Monday Night RAW opens with Stone Cold Steve Austin’s glass shattering and the crowd going nuts! However…
Owens comes to the ring dressed like Stone Cold, bald cap and all, and poses on the turnbuckles just as the Texas Rattlesnake would. Owens tells the fans if they’re ready to see him open a can of whoopass on that “sorry son of a bitch” Steve Austin at WrestleMania, to give him a Hell yeah! The fans boo and Owens says “what?” over and over. Owens then assumes the persona of Stone Cold and says he’s saw what Kevin Owens has been saying about him.
So he drove out to the desert in his crappy like golf cart and pretended to be a badass and accepted his challenge. And he did it without thinking because, to be honest, these days the lights are barely on and he doesn’t do much thinking. The fans start chanting for Austin and Owens says they must be “the dumbest sons of bitches he’s ever…” but Austin’s music hits and Owens craps himself. After a moment Owens starts laughing and says “fool me once, shame on you,. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
Owens then asks for beer and gets one thrown but he misses it. They throw another and he drops it too, much to the enjoyment of the crowd. Owens tells them to cut the music and tells the stagehand he sucks, then tels him to bring a beer into the ring and put it in his hand. Owens mocks the guy before hitting him with a Stunner, then gets in his face for some trash talk the way Austin would. Owens goes to drink a beer but instead throws it and poses on the top rope again.
We see a replay of last week where Seth Rollins tried to steal Kevin Owens’s idea for a talk-show at WrestleMania, only to lose to KO in the main event. Rollins is interviewed backstage and asked what his state of mind is about not having a WrestleMania match. The fans chant “Cody”. Rollins laughs before snatching the microphone and walking off.
The NXT Champion, Ziggler, starts against Dominik and gets taken down with an arm-drag. Dominik grabs the wrist and hits a springboard arm-drag that sends Dolph out of the ring. Dominik attempts a baseball slide but Ziggler avoids it and runs him into the apron. Ziggler gets Dominik back inside, tags Roode, and the duo hit a double-team backbreaker. Rey comes in and they clear the Dawgz from the ring before hitting suicide dives on them on the floor.
Suddenly Seth Rollins walks out to the stage and tells them to stop. The show can’t continue until he says so. He wants a spot at WrestleMania. And not just any spot, he wants a spot that will last forever. Rollins’s microphone keeps cutting out. He says he came for Austin last week but this week he wants something even bigger. Again his mircophone cuts out and he shouts that they’re trying to shut him up.
We’re back live and the match is still underway and no sign of Seth Rollins. Ziggler wants a superplex but Mysterio fights him off and headbutts him, then kicks Roode off the apron. Rey hits a seated senton to Ziggler and both men are down. Rey hits an enziguiri and tries to make a tag but Roode rushes in and punches Dominik off the apron. Rey catches Roode with a tornado DDT and tags Dominik.
Dominik with a crossbody off the top, then a Frankensteiner to Roode. Dominik is sent to the apron but he snaps Roode’s neck on the ropes before hitting an Eddie Guerrero tope to Roode. Ziggler causes a distraction, allowing Roode to hit a spinebuster to Dominik for a near-fall. Dominik knocks Roode onto the middle rope and htis a 619, then goes up top and lands a frog splash for the win.
As soon as the match ends Miz grabs Rey and hits a Skull Crushing Finale on the floor, then rips Rey’s mask off! Dominik rushes out and gets a towel to cover his father’s face while the fans chant “you suck”.
Seth Rollins is with Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce backstage and he’s begging for a big spot at WrestleMania. pearce says him acting like a lunatic won’t get him what he wants. Rollins asks what will? Allowing those two buffoons to get him something? Deville reminds Rollins that he had a chance last week and he failed. Pearce says to leave it with him and he will see what he can do. Rollins just laughs.
The Miz is on the phone to Maryse, bragging about taking Rey’s mask, when he’s stopped for an interview. Miz says Logan Paul was a huge Rey Mysterio fan when he was a kid, and all he wanted was a mask. Well Logan met his hero and realised Rey was a little jerk. Rey and Dominik tried to humiliate him and Paul, but tonight humliated the Mysterio’s. He and Paul are going to beat the Mysterio’s at WrestleMania, but before then he dares Logan to wear Rey’s mask on RAW.
We see a replay of Friday night’s SmackDown where Roman Reigns mocked Brock Lesnar, thinking he wasn’t there. Brock then showed-up at the arena and drove into the Bloodline’s car with a forklift. He then ripped the door off the pick-up truck they used to escape. Lesnar promised Roman that he’s coming for blood. Next week on RAW, Brock and Roman will be live.
Before the match starts, Azeez get on the apron to distract Omos, allowing Crews to rush up behind and dropkick him. Azeez grabs the legs but Omos shoves Apollo off and starts climbing over the ropes. Azeez gets Omos down on the floor and clubs at him, then Apollo gets out to help. Omos grabs them both but gets run into the ring post and the team get in the ring.
Omos gets in the ring and the match offically starts. Omos boots Apollo backwards and tells him to make the tag. Azeez tags in and Omos body slams him with one arm. Omos trash talks Azeez, then catches a flying Crews to hit a military slam. Azeez runs at Omos but gets dropped with a boot. Omos tells Apollo this is his fault, then lifts him for a choke bomb. Omos pins both men at the same time.
After the match Omos gets the microphone and says it doesn’t matter how many there are, or how big they are, all that matters is that he is undefeated. He asks someone to have the balls to step up to him on RAW or at WrestleMania and says it doesn’t matter who, they will be dominated.
AJ Styles comes to the ring. The Phenomenal One says he’s been at home nursing his injuries with nothing but time on his hands. And if you have enough of it, time can be a dangerous thing. He watched the clip of Edge attacking him over-and-over until he went crazy. He didn’t want to talk to his family, he just wanted to be alone. Then Edge popped-up on the screen with his mood lighting and his nonsense about why he did what he did.
Styles says the fact is he doesn’t care why Edge did it. He’s here to kick Edge’s teeth down his throat. Edge wanted the pitbull, he’ll get it but they don’t have to wait until WrestleMania. Styles tells Edge to be a man and get out to the ring. AJ calls Edge a coward for not answering the call. Seth Rollins comes out and AJ doesn’t look too pleased. Rollins comes to the ring and the fans sing his theme music.
The fans chant for “Cody” but Seth says rumours don’t make moments. Styles tells him to cut the crap but Rollins says he’s out here because he’s concerned about his wellbeing. He asks if AJ is physically and emotionally capable of fighting Edge at WrestleMania? Seth tells AJ to go home and get to 100%, then come back and beat Edge… after WrestleMania. Allow Rollins to end Edge’s career on the grandest stage of them all.
Styles says Seth isn’t taking his spot at WrestleMania ando long as he can walk he will be there. Rollins asks if he can have the spot if AJ somehow can’t make it to WrestleMania? Styles says Rollins is doing the same thing to him he did to Owens last week. Seth says it sounds good to him and he’s running out of options. Styles says Seth is delusional if he thinks he’s going to give his spot up, but after he’s done with Edge he can take him out too.
Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville come out and they say Rollins is going to get one last chance, because if he can beat AJ Styles tonight he will replace him at WrestleMania. Styles is furious and Rollins dances around the ring, until AJ drops him with a right hand. Styles pummels Rollins until he rolls out of the ring. This match will seemingly be our main event!
Zelina Vega approaches Carmella backstage, who is obsessed with her phone. Vega berates Carmella for caring more about her reality show and upcoming wedding than their WrestleMania match. Carmella says “blah, blah, blah” and Vega throws her phone away. Vega calls her a “bridezilla”, then Carmella says her phone cost more than the tacky crown on her head. Carmella then slapped Vega across the face, so Vega tackled her. They roll around on the ground until referees separte them.
AJ Styles barges in on Deville and Pearce and berates them for giving Seth Rollins an opportunity to take his spot. He says they suck at their jobs but it’s fine, he’ll beat Seth.
Ripley grabs a waistlock on Baszler, but gets her wrist twisted. Rhea throws Baszler overhead. Shayna lands some kicks to Ripley but Rhea fires back with some of her own, then a dropkick. Ripley lifts and slams Baszler face-first before tagging Morgan and throwing her onto Shayna for a two-count. Baszler grabs the arm of Liv and takes her down, then tags Natalya.
Liv jumps over Natalya and hits a headscissors, then connects with double knees in the corner. Shayna causes a distraction, allowing Natalya to hit a rope-assisted atomic drop, followed by a basement dropkick. Baszler tags back in and slams Morgan, before grabbing a submission. Carmella comes down to ringside to talk to Corey Graves about what happened earlier.
Morgan is distracted with Carmella, allowing Baszler to run her into the corner. Shayna tags Natalya but Morgan slings Baszler out of the ring and knocks Nattie off the apron. Morgan wants to tag out but Baszler pulls Ripley off the apron. Baszler then tags back in and teams with Nattie to hit a Hart Attack on Morgan and score the surprise win!
Zeliana Vega comes down and hits Rhea Ripley with her staff in the back. Carmella then attacks Natalya and Baszler at ringisde, then gets in the ring to meet Vega. They two of them trash talk each other, then look at their rivals and smile before hugging.
We see a replay of Bianca Belair being attacked and injured on last week’s RAW – the jury is out on her WrestleMania status. The RAW Women’s Champion, Big Time Becky Lynch, comes to the ring with a steel chair in hand.
Becky Lynch is sitting in the ring. She says there is a question she asks herself a lot: what does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul? Of course, the world means something different to everyone. Fifteen long months she was gone and couldn’t hold the RAW Women’s Championship. And not because she was beaten, but because she relinquished it. And the longer she was gone, the more she knew she would do anything to get it back.
So this is what the man profits! She is glory, the prize at the top of the mountain. This is her world. And when she came back and the fans chose Bianca over her, she knew she would sell her soul to keep the title. Becky says Belair doesn’t have what it takes to beat her, and she will happily crush her throat to do it. Last week she promised she’d take her hair but she’s not here.
And maybe that’s because she put her there, or maybe it’s because Belair knows she’ll get beat and lose her soul in the process. She’s already sold hers and she’d do it every week if it meant keeping that belt on her shoulder. So what does it profit Bianca to gain the world and lose her soul? Becky will show her and the rest of the world at WrestleMania, if she can make it.
Austin Theory is interviewed backstage and he says Pat McAfee is a smart man because he apologised to him last week. Theory says Pat had a great career in the NFL but he has no business bieing in a wrestling ring. He says it’s a win-win for him because if he beats Pat at WrestleMania that’s a feather in his cap, but if he can’t his mentor, Vince McMahon, will fire Pat. Theory then says he’s facing Finn Balor tonight and he has so many selfies with an unconscious Balor that he’s running out of space, but he has room for at least one more.
Before the match can get underway, Pat McAfee comes down to ringside. Theory grabs a headlock, Balor shoots him off, and Austin hits a shoulder tackle. Theory punches Balor and takes him over to the ropes so he can stare at Pat while he hits him. Balor rolls through a sunset flip and dropkicks Theory, then stomps him until he rolls from the ring. Pat mocks Theory holding his ribs, then does a funny “suck it” taunt until Balor htis a shotgun dropkick to Theory.
Back live and Theory has a waistlock on Balor. Pat McAfee slaps the apron to rally the fans and Finn Balor. Theory shouts at McAfee, allowing Balor to kick him, land some forearms, and a double stomp. Theory reverses an Irish whip and sends Balor out of the ring, then slams his head into the announce desk. Theory wastes time talking to Pat, allowing Balor to turn the tables and slam his head into the desk over-and-over.
Balor gets Theory back inside, htis the shotgun dropkick and jumps for the coup de grace but Theory avoids it. Austin rolls Balor up for a near-fall. Theory is frustrated and he mounts Balor to land wild haymakers. Pat gets on the apron and talks trash to Theory, who says he can’t hear him. Theory lifts Finn for the ATL but Balor counters it and kicks him down. Balor wants 1916 but Theory counters with a brainbuster. Theory gets on the apron and Pat distracts him, then Theroy rolls through the ropes but Balor rolls him up for the win!
We see a replay of last week’s showdown between RK-Bro and The Street Profits, which resulted in Alpha Academy attacking both teams. RK-Bro make their way to the ring where they will face the Alpha’s after the break.
Alpha Academy make their way to the ring and Gable cuts a promo, in which he insults the fans, tells Batman to move over because Otis is the new fave of Vengeance, and says they will be taking their titles back at WrestleMania.
Gable starts with Orton and takes him down with a wristlock. Orton fights up and tags Riddle, but Gable takes him down as well. Otis gets the tag and Gable catapults Riddle into the brick wall that is Otis. Gable tags back in and Riddle knocks him into the corner for a running forearm. Riddle sends Gable out of the ring and goes to the apron for a kick but Gable trips him, then Otis sends him flying with a shoulder tackle.
Back live and Riddle rolls-up Gable for a near-fall. Orton tags in and takes Gable down with a clothesline, then puts him on the apron and want the DDT but Otis stops it. Orton batters Otis until he falls off the apron, then Orton drags Gable back through the ropes and DDT’s him. Orton wants the RKO but Gable shoves him into the corner where Riddle tags in. Gable hits a German suplex and clotheslines Orton over the ropes. Riddle hits Gable with a Bro-Derek for the win.
As soon as the match ends, Otis sends Orton into the barricade, then he gets inside and attacks Riddle. Suddenly the Street Profits appear and attack Gable, and wind-up dropping him on his head. They help Riddle up, then hit him with a spinebuster and a frog splash. The Profits point to the WrestleMania sign and trash talk everyone.
We see a replay of last week when Tamina and Akira Tozawa attacked Reginald and Dana Brooke, only to let them get away as usual. The four will compete in a tornado tag after the break.
The bell rings and Reggie lifts Dana onto his shoulders, then Tozawa gets on Snuka’s shoulders so we can have a ridiculous lock-up. They separate and Brooke gets off, then Reggie kicks Tamina’s knee so Tozawa falls off. They get both in the corner and Brooke splashes them, causing Tozawa to fall on his back, then Tamina falls face-first into his crotch. Reggie then jumps on Tozawa for the pinfall.
The match gets underway with a lock-up and Styles grabs a wristlock. They separate and Rollins mocks Styles, who then snatches a headlock. Rollins shoots him off and hits a shoulder tackle, then connects with a slingblade. Rollins grabs Styles and wants a Pedigree but AJ flips him over. Styles looks for a splash in the corner but nobody’s home. AJ flips Rollins over the ropes to the floor, then leaps over the ropes with a forearm to drop him.
We’re back live and Rollins has AJ grounded with a sleeper. Styles fights up and kicks the leg of Rollins before hitting a dragon whip. Rollins intercepts Styles in the corner, then AJ sprints at him but Seth moves and AJ headbutts the buckles hard. Rollins wants the count-out win but AJ gets back into the ring at the coutn of eight. Rollins stomps AJ and hits a neckbreaker for a two-count.
Rollins stares at the WrestleMania sign in frustration. He puts AJ in the corner and chops him before hanging him in the tree of woe and connecting with a dropkick for a near-fall. Rollins whips him into the buckles but AJ kicks Rollins back, then goes to the apron. Styles wants the Phenomenal Forearm but Rollins trips him and AJ lands on the ropes and tumbles to the floor. Rollins connects with a suicide dive on the floor.
We return live and Rollins is still in control and he’s telling Styles to give up. Rollins slaps AJ, who fires back with a flurry of offence. Styles hits a forearm in the corner and an Ushigoroshi for a near-fall. AJ wants the Syles Clash but Rollins rolls him up for a near-fall. Styles lifts Rollins and hits a wheelbarrow facebuster for a near-fall. Both men are down.
Rollins counters the Styles Clash again, hits a rolling elbow, and lands the falcon arrow for another near-fall! Rollins wants the Stomp but AJ avoids it, then the two of them exchange pinfall attempts. Seth hoists AJ up and wants the buckle bomb but Styles punches himself free and suplexes Rollins into the buckles. “This is awesome” from the fans. Styles goes to the top topr but Rollins climbs up with him and tries to superplex him.
Styles fights Rollins off for a moment, then Seth leaps back up but AJ slides between his legs and trips him. Seth landed badly on his knee but AJ quickly lifts him up for a torture rack into a bomb for a near-fall. Styles goes to the apron and leaps for the Phenomenal Forearm but eats a superkick in mid-air. Rollins lifts him and hits a buckle bomb, then goes up top for a frog splash but Styles got the knees up! Styles goes for the forearm again but Edge hits him with a chair!
Edge, who appeared out of nowhere, hits AJ with the chair again and ripped his purple blazer. Rollins is not happy as they announce that Styles own via DQ and he’s going to WrestleMania. Edge leaves and Rollins goes to the announce desk and rips the lid off, then grabs the microphone.
Rollins says “this is bull$hit!” He says next week’s Monday night RAW will not take place unless he gets his WrestleMania moment. Seth throws the microphone and starts ripping the barricade apart, then tips the announce desk over as the fans chant “Cody!” Rollins rips part of the ring post off and beats the announce desk with it, then stares at the sign.
That’s it for this week’s RAW, let us know what you thought of the show and we’ll see you back here tomorrow night for NXT. Until next time, stay safe.
